There has been recently 2 interviews with Alexis, and “Post Grad” co-star, Zach Gilford. The first of which is Alexis and Zach’s interview on Tuesday at the “Post Grad” press day with Michelle. Here’s the video that she kindly uploaded:
Another interview is with TeenHollywood.com. Read the rest after the jump.
TeenHollywood: Did either of you ever have to move back home after going out on your own for any reason? Alexis: I’ve not personally had that experience. I feel I’ve experienced setbacks where I’ve had to regroup and start from scratch, which I think is similar. Not moved in (though). Zach: I was fortunate enough not to have to move home. Both of us pretty quickly got our first job so… Alexis: We’re spoiled. Zach: It’s still early. I could have to move back home next year. Alexis: Things could go terribly wrong.
TeenHollywood: Geez, hope not! One of the things the movie’s about is the danger of overplanning life. Are either of you overplanners? Alexis: I’m really not. I really go with the flow, I think. Zach: I think I’m the exact same way. Alexis: I’ll make a list so I don’t forget something but I don’t stick to one plan with blinders on the way (my character) Ryden does. Zach: A bird in the hand’s worth two in the bush. I can plan all that stuff but if something’s presenting itself to me, I’m like, ‘alright, I’ll do that’.
TeenHollywood: Alexis, your family in this film is very eccentric. Your dad is really loving but a little wacko. How crazy is our own dad or dare we ask? Alexis: My dad is not that bad. He’s very creative. He’s always playing music in the living room. There’s a concert going on at all times so that’s unique. He kind of has projects the way (my movie dad) Walter does. He can basically build anything so he’s always working on something on the house. He might be on the roof when you don’t expect him to be. He’s always attempting new projects so in that way he’s like Walter (Michael Keaton’s character). He doesn’t drive me completely insane, though.
Alexis attended the after party of “Gilmore Girls” co-star, Lauren Grahams’ new movie, “The Answer Man” on Thursday. Alexis and Lauren both looked great and its nice to see the together again! I’ve added both MQ and HQ pictures of the after party to the gallery.
Details of the soundtrack for “Post Grad” have been released. The official “Post Grad” soundtrack will be released August 18th, 3 days before the movie is released.
According to the source, a music video featuring “Post Grad” footage is currently in post production. The song to go with the video is “One Day”, which in the movie Zach Gilford, who plays Adam, sings a part fo the song. I can’t wait to see it!

There hasn’t been much news on Alexis lately so I’ve been busy screencapping Season 3 of Gilmroe Girls. I have capped 3 episodes, episode 15- “Face-Off”, episode 16- “The Big One and episode 17- “A Tale of Poes and Fire”. I’ve also added the caps to teh additional scene to the episode “Swan Song”.
I’ve uploaded the scans to the recent issue of Envy Magazine, thanks to my friend Karanbir, to the gallery. Also added is the screencaps to “Sin City”, the 2005 movie in which Alexis stars as Becky. Alexis’ eyes are very prominent since its a black and white movie and her blue eyes are the only colour on her. A reminder to remember to vote for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 @ teenchoiceawards.com and that Post Grad comes out next month!!
Alexis and “Post Grad” co-star, Zach Gilford recently did an interview at the movie’s press day. Read the rest of the interview after the jump.
Q: Early in your careers, did either of you go out on your own and then have to move back home? Alexis: I’ve not personally had that experience. I definitely feel like I’ve experienced setbacks, where I’ve had to regroup and start from scratch, which I think is similar, but not entirely the same thing. Zach: I was fortunate enough not to have to move home. Both of us pretty quickly got our first job. Alexis: We’re spoiled. Zach: But, it’s still early. I could move back home next week. Alexis: Yeah, things could go terribly wrong tomorrow.
Q: One of the things this movie is about is the danger of over-planning life? Are either of you over-planners? Alexis: I’m not. I really go with the flow. Zach: I’m definitely the exact same way. Alexis: I’ll make a list, every now and then, so I don’t forget something, but I don’t stick to one plan with blinders on, the way that Ryden does, at the beginning. Zach: A bird in hand is better than two in the bush. I can plan all that stuff, but if something presents itself to me right there, I’m like, “All right, I’m going to do that.”
Alexis did a gorgeous photoshoot and interview with Envy Magazine. She talks about “Post Grad” and her life in the interview. Don’t forget to vote for SOPT2 (:

Here’s an excerpt of the interview, read the rest of it after the jump.
Post Grad is the most comedy-oriented film you’ve done so far, and you play alongside some comedy heavyweights. Was that intimidating?
I think I was pretty intimidated the whole time. Comedy is hard, and even being on a set where a crew is used to working on comedy, they kind of expect you to entertain everybody, and so many comedians do that. I guess I’m a little more reserved, but it would be fun to do another one knowing that going into it and to let loose a little bit.
Carol Burnett is a comedian’s comedian. How did she strike you on set?
My impression of her was based on Annie. From my childhood memories, she was the really frightening orphanage headmistress. She was terrifying when you were a kid. Even now, you watch it, and it’s an intense performance. She was funny and she was wasted and all these different things all in one character, and she was fantastic. That was what was in my head when I met her, and she couldn’t be sweeter. She really is gracious; she satisfies people’s expectations. She stepped right into it and made everyone feel comfortable and entertained.
Post Grad is rated PG-13. Would you like to do more films with a hard ‘R’ like a Judd Apatow comedy?
People won’t bring me in for those, because they think audiences don’t want to see that. Sometimes they’ll test certain scenes in work I have done for young girls and stuff, and they don’t want to see me in that light, because they think of me as the TV character.
You played a prostitute in Sin City, though. That’s a bit against type for you.
Yeah, that’s the point of something like Sin City, to do something different. I just went in and read for it, so I guess it does happen where I’m given the chance. Sometimes I can psych myself out and not really go all the way into it, because you fall into old habits.
Alexis and Post Grad co-star, Zach Gilford, recently did an interview with The Hullabaloo. The Hullabaloo is related to Tulane University in New Orleans.
In this economy, many students are graduating into a world with no room to hire them. What message do you think “Post Grad” sends to them? What should they take away?
ALEXIS BLEDEL: I think the point of the movie is that you can’t plan everything, which is really the case right now. It’s a difficult time and it wasn’t this way when we filmed the movie. We filmed it over a year ago. But it was relevant then and now, even more so. But the comedy of the movie really takes place in the family’s dynamic. They are really kind of insane and they drive Ryden crazy when she has to move home. And the movie takes place in an environment where she can’t find a job. So, hopefully, it’ll be relatable for a lot of people and they’ll be able to find the humor in her crazy family.
ZACH GILFORD: I think one of the big messages of it is not to be so obsessed with having to have a job. That’s not all that life is right now. That will work itself out over time. You’ll find employment, but there are other aspects of life. So even though it’s hard right now, don’t get so obsessed over that. Find other things that can keep you going until you find some steady employment.
Zach, what was it like to represent the thousands of young men who are in frustratingly platonic relationships?
GILFORD: Oh, man. It was really rough. We’ve all been there and we all know it. So, if you just keep going for it…eventually it’s going to work itself out. She’ll come around.
