Indochine Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Gilmore Girls’ Creator Speaks

Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of Gilmore Girls has talked to Ausiello about how she would’ve wanted the series to end. She says there may still be a chance of the movie, but not just yet. You can read the whole article here.

“I wanted different things for Rory,” confesses Amy Sherman-Palladino. “I wanted her to follow a different sort of path… [go] off on her own adventure, which I guess she sort of did. I haven’t [actually] seen the last season, but I heard about it from other people.”

“Anything can happen,” she insists. “I’m in touch with [Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel]. If there’s a story to tell, then absolutely I think we’re all going to want to tell it. That’s the bottom line.”
“If I thought it was definitely not going to happen, I would say, ‘No, it’s definitely not going to happen,’” she adds. “I would do that for you, my friend. But I don’t want to say that. Because I think that the beauty of Gilmore, and the beauty of family relationship shows is, you never really run out of story. You’re going to battle your family until you’re all in the ground. Those things never resolve, doesn’t matter how much therapy you get. Ten years later, there’s still going to be [material] there to mine and to delve into.”

“Post Grad” on Blu Ray & DVD

Fox Home Entertainment will be releasing Post Grad to DVD and Blu-Ray on January 12th 2010 in the US. Apparently the DVD will be $29.98 and Blu-ray $39.99. If you are not in the US (like me) you can look forward to the movie in a release in your country available here. I have uploaded the cover art for the DVD here, which features a picture we haven’t seen.

Bad News

While I was at school, I found out that the rumours on Alexis’ appearance on Lost is not true! Thanks to Michele for pointing it out as well. (:
Ausiello is from Entertainment Weekly magazine, therefore is a very trusted source. Here’s wat he had to say…

Question: According to IMDB, Alexis Bledel will appear in an episode of Lost this season. Is that true? –Anita
Ausiello: No, it sure ain’t!

Alexis to be in “Lost”!

I finished my exams today and IMDBed Alexis and realised that a new project was added! Alexis will play Janna Austen in episode 2, season 6 of Lost which is to be aired sometime next year. This is not confirmed, as IMDB is not always correct but lets keep our fingers crossed! :D

Sin City 2 News

I have been extremely busy over the past couple of days and only just have some time now to update on Alexis news. She hasn’t been around much lately, I’m guessing she’s filming The Conspiratior although I’m not sure.
However, some news has come up regarding Sin City 2!
Mania.com spoke to producer Stephen L’Heureux who talked about the production of Sin City 2. He also mentions Sin City 3 may be in production soon (IMDB have put up for release in 2012, not sure if this is correct not).

L’Heureux confirmed for us that the long-awaited sequel ‘Sin City 2′ will go into production in the second half of 2010. Unlike the first movie, which used the graphic novels as both screenplay and story boards, the sequel will be based on an original script by Miller. As with the original, Miller will co-direct with Robert Rodriguez.
“As simple as ‘Sin City’ seems, it’s a very complex scheduling with all these actors and it’s a very demanding shoot to be on a sound stage all day long,” L’Heureux told us. “We have to space it for Frank. There’s also talk, of course, of ‘Sin City 3′.”

In the last update, I also failed to give credit to dizzygirl for the photos from the set of The Conspirator! I completely forgot until she reminded me. She has also posted a video, which you can watch here of Alexis on set. You can barely see her, but it’s worth watching!

General Update

This is just a small update. I didn’t want to overload yesterday’s post but according to many sources, Alexis’ movie The Good Guy which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year will be released in theatres in March next year. Roadside Attractions has claimed the rights for relases, and hopefully we will see some international releases too! We will most likely be seeing a release of more promos and stills as well.

In other news, the lovely Paola from Gala Films (which is producing The Kate Logan Affair) has been in contact with me and has told me that location shoots are finished and have now moved to studio and closed sets. Filming finishes on Sunday, and believes that Alexis will be doing some sightseeing up here before heading home. Most likely to start shooting The Conspirator.

New Project & KLA Photos

Thanks to Chaz for giving me the heads up on Alexis’ new project! Alexis has joined the cast of The Conspirator which is a drama about the aftermath of President Lincoln’s assassination. Also joining the cast is Justin Long, Evan Rachel Wood, James McAvoy and a handful of other famous faces. I can’t wait for this project. The director is Robert Redford. The article states that filming started on Monday in Savannah, Georgia but I don’t think Alexis will be filming until after this week as she is still shooting The Kate Logan Affair.
In talking of KLA, I have added a bunch of photos from the set thanks to cinoche.com. There is also an article (in French) which talks about the shooting of the movie.

The scene shot last Wednesday in Chambly occurs early in the film. “It’s a scene that allows us to have elements of understanding the character, a young policewoman, Kate Logan,” according to Noel Mitrani. “This is a very proud person who does not like to be at fault.”

Why Alexis Beldel? “I needed an actress who does more than adolescence, and less than adulthood. It’s very difficult to find. When I found Alexis, she was still in this interim period, which lasts very little in a woman where she was a little innocence of youth, but it is not yet a woman. ”

Who is Kate Logan? “This is a young policewoman who loves the idea of being an authority figure, but it is not very down to earth. At first, she accidentally stops a man who resembles a wanted criminal, but she must let go, and they meet again … The story evolves from there, but I’m not supposed to talk about … “

KLA Article & News

The Montreal Gazette has an article on The Kate Logan Affair. If you follow us on twitter, you may recall us re-tweeting Brendan Kelly who wrote this article.
The article talks about the director of KLA, Noel Mitrani as well as more information on the plot of the movie. The article also states that filming will finish up next Monday. And thanks to the awesome Priscilla for telling us more about the shooting of KLA.

I actually live in Chambly and almost next to the filming site. They are filming at a motel, and i noticed that they had changed the motel sign so i took a picture of it. it’s kinda bad because i was driving at the same time… they’ve been here for almost a week now, i think they will be paking up soon!

I also want to thank Paola of Gala Films for sending me the press release of KLA. If anyone ever has anything to contribute, it would be greatly appreciated!
